34th Nottingham Rapidplay Report

We welcomed a record capacity (180) entry to the 34th Nottingham Rapidplay on 2nd February 2025, held as usual at Nottingham High School. This was ECF-rated as normal and also FIDE-rated for the first time, with 6 games over the day.

In the Major, Senith Gunarathne scored 4pts, just outside the prizes.

In the Intermediate, there was success for Sebastian Griffin-Young, scoring 5pts for second place and winning £100. Jonah Tomsett scored 3.5pts and Robin Sykes 2.5pts.

In the Minor, Miheli Gunarathne finished with 4pts, sharing the U1350 rating prize of £15.

Finally, in the Improvers, Shaheer Khorrum scored 3pts and Elizabeth de Bono 2.5pts.
