As preparation for his upcoming British Championships debut, Senith Gunarathne took part in the English Championships, a 7-round tournament this year held at Kenilworth. It’s a strong event attracting top English grandmasters and other titled players.
Senith scored an impressive 4pts, beating two ECF 2100+ players in the final two rounds.
This is a good omen for next month, for which we all wish him the best of luck.
Miheli Gunarathne also took part, in the Women’s U1700 event. She finished well to be 5th with an excellent score of 4.5pts.
