Nottingham hosts EJCOA Final again

Nottingham High School were again the hosts to the 2-day, FIDE-rated National EJCOA Final. With support of the Notts Chess Foundation, many of our juniors were able to compete or come to the free coaching sessions and simuls. This was a 5-round standardplay event with 3 games on Saturday, so a tough schedule!

In the U8s, Elizabeth de Bono scored 3.5pts and was in joint second place for the girls prize.

In the U14s, Senith Gunarathne scored 3.5pts, just missing out on the prizes.

In the combined U16, U18 and U20s, Sebastian Griffin-Young did well to score 3.5pts, with Jonah Tomsett and Maksim Krasnov on 2.5pts.

Another successful event, we look forward to seeing it return next year!
