A number of our junior players crossed the border to Trent College in Long Eaton to compete in the 3rd edition of this event.
Our biggest success was Sebastian Griffin-Young, who was joint first in the Major section with 4pts and won £135. Jonah Tomsett also competed in this section and finished on 1.5pts.
In the Open, Senith Gunarathne also scored 1.5pts, while Miheli Gunarathne finished on 2pts in the Intermediate.
None of our players were in the Minor, but there was a great result for Shaheer Khorrum who scored 3.5pts and just missed out on the prizes due to a 4-way tie on 4pts. Elizabeth de Bono finished with 2pts.
All the results and cross tables are to be found on chess-results. Well done to all our players!
