A few of our players made the trip to University of Warwick to compete in various events which make up the British Championships 2026.
The outstanding result was Miheli Gunarathne, who was joint-first in the U1750 (Soanes) weekend tournament.
Senith Gunarathne took part in the Major Open and started extremely well, including a win against the top seed, before unfortunately fading to finish on 4.5/9. It is a tough schedule of 9 long games without a day off.
Meanwhile, Tony Wright took part in the Senior Over 65s. Admitting that he’s a bit rusty, he scored 3 out of 7.
